EXPLORAQUEST MELAKA - TRAWLING FOR GERAGAU AT TAMAN AMAN UJONG PASIR - 8.2.2009

What is Geragau? Geragau is the local name of a pinkish coloured shrimp usually found at Pantai Klebang, Limbongan and Tanjung Kling and coastal areas along the coast of Melaka

It is the main ingredient in making a Malaccan food called cincalok where the shrimps are fermented with salt, boiled rice water and sugar

These boys may not get enough catch to make cincalok. Their catch is usually sold to other locals as fish bait for fishing or prawn fishing

Now who says there's nothing to see and nothing to do in Melaka?
