The first thing you might want to do when you get here is to order a fruit juice of your choice.
Finish your juice while checking out the local fruits on display
Step outside on the BBQ section and it will present you with this eco view of the Penang National Park. Yes as of 2008, Penang now has it's own "Taman Negara" and it is located on the North-west part of the island bordered by Balik Pulau in the south and Teluk Bahang in the east
Nature's call may be the next best thing to do or something uniquely worth doing it here. That's because you will get a naturally great eco view while squatting or standing
Don't worry about others watching you because most don't own binoculars and let alone bring one on a tour of Penang
This is the view you can get from the standing urinals
So who says there is nothing to see and nothing to do in Penang?
Each time we recommend friends to Melaka, they respond along this Cantonese line "mou yeh tai...mou yeh cho". This blog is to highlight the many "hidden sites" of Melaka primarily and of the rest of Malaysia and the world in general. To do so, we would need a new way of seeing things; through interactive exploration. It is this that inspired the term EXPLORAQUEST and its theme "It's A Quest Of Scenic And Sensory Delights".

EXPLORAQUEST PENANG - PENANG ISLAND SKYLINE - 5.2.2009
When going to Penang Island, it is recommended that you take the Penang Ferry rather than the Penang Bridge. You can certainly get better views without having to keep your eyes on the road and seeing through fast moving railings and walls. From the ferry, you can still get nostalgia just by looking at this still functioning old junk
Whether going to or coming from the island, you can get a picturesque view of the Penang skyline with the iconic Komtar Building rising high above others.
The docking ships add colour and shows that it is still a port of call
The colourful Penang ferries make the views more pleasing and make you feel like you have been to some "overseas" place like Hong Kong
The ferry journey is a great opportunity for photos
