EXPLORAQUEST MELAKA - MAIN MELAKA BECA STATION AT THE STADHUYS - 18.2.2009

This is where the main bunch of becas line up orderly for customers at The Stadhuys

The usual rate is RM 40.00 for an hour's ride anywhere around the Historical City

However, there are other rates like RM 20.00 for half an hour's fun ride or even RM 10.00 to go from one place to another

What's there to do?
1. Best is to go sight see to Historical sites where its a little bit far to walk such as the Hang Li Po well at Bukit Cina and the St. Peter's Church near Bunga Raya
2. Challenge the Beca Rider to do a quick one hour non stop no-get-down trip along these roads - Jalan Merdeka, Jalan Chan Koon Cheng, Jalan Laksamana, Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, Jalan Hang Lekir, Jalan Hang Jebat, Jalan Hang Kasturi, Jalan Tokong and return to The Stadhiys via Jalan Kampung Pantai. It never been achieved before so be ready to double the rate!

EXPLORAQUEST MELAKA - ICONIC COLOURFUL TRISHAWS AT LE TOUR DE LANGKAWI MELAKA STAGE 3 - 11.2.2009

A showcase of local becas was held before the start of the Tour de Langkawi Melaka Stage 3 on 11.2.2009. More than 20 assortedly designed becas lined the starting point infront of the Dataran Pahlawan

The becas led the Racers for some distance before the racers took the lead for the actual race

As part of the extravaganza, the becas carried kids in traditional costumes of the local Melaka people

What's there to do?
1. Take a ride on the beca
2. Pose for a photo with a beca or while trying to ride one
