There are two eateries at this fish pond in the city. The far end is a cafe that sells Malay food and at the entrance, the cafe sells Chinese food

It is open daily and even in the day time. It is definitely much cooler at night however there are several huts that provide the shade in the day time

Melaka Raya has not only pubs and cafes for more active entertainment but also a fishing pond for those who prefer a more relax and quiet surround

Can't see any fish caught just yet

In the meantime, everyone plays the unofficial game of waiting to see who gets one first

For all you prawn fishing enthusiasts, there's this place at a shoplot in Melaka Raya that offers prawn fishing daily from morning to night

There is a large "kolam" about knee height like a mini home swimming pool

This chap's just caught one and he had about a dozen more caught earlier. Guess what he'll be having for dinner - udang gulai, udang sambal....

Now who says there's nothing to see and nothing to do in Melaka?
